SWAMPLAND.

Look out for Swampland around The Sunshine Coast and various other places. A zine promoting D.I.Y, creative industries and Australian Independents. First one was funded on a fluke; applied for a government grant and got money for printing. Also to promote our town Nambour, which has had a terrible reputation in the past. How things have changed.

I would like to make more, but full colour and focused on the creative side o' things Aus-wide, so if your interested get in touch. Ideas/contributions, anything.

Lock stock.

An insight of the happenings and inner workings of the Time Machine.
13th AUGUST 2013.

New new stuff and new old stuff.

SATURDAY NIGHT'S NOT ALRIGHT FOR FIGHTIN'

BAD NEWS: Unfortunately Andrea can no longer play due to a surprise visit from a travelling relative.
GOOD NEWS: Local legend Dean Futi is playing instead. Also plays in the Brown Trouts and has been doing gigs around the Coast for ages. Top bloke, big beard, nuff said.

Sorry people! We'll definitely be organising more stuff with Andrea in the future. This will be a wild night and a heap o fun so come support the boys before they hit the road.

Next Show @ The Commercial. The Floating Bridges + Andrea Kirwin.

If you live on the Sunshine Coast, you've probably heard of The Floating Bridges. They won't be playing many Coast shows as they're busy recording and preparing to tour again so catch 'em at The Commercial Hotel, Saturday 3rd of August, playing 2 (!) massive sets before they hit the road. If you haven't heard Andrea Kirwin, you're silly. She played at the Time Machine on Record Store Day and her voice send shivers down my spine. She works forSmart Pups Autism Assistance Dogs and sometimes brings puppies into the store, which is pretty amazing. So Sunshine Coasters, come and support some local musicians, have a drink, and give The Bridges a send off they won't forget.

8pm. $10 (on door). 35 Currie Street, Nambour. Courtesy bus available.

Tuesday, July 9, 2013

This Friday night 12th of July, The Bennies and more!

This Friday night, The Bennies from Melbourne will be playing 2 different sets in Nambour, and they're bringing some friends with 'em. First up will be at The Time Machine (101 Currie Street), an all ages acoustic instore from 5pm onwards, this will be upstairs. Stripped back and raw, there won't even be mics. This will be with Hightime (Adelaide) & Tom Ware from Grim Fandango.

Then a big night at the Commercial Hotel (35 Currie Street) of punk/ska/alt-pop with Apollo & The Sun (Sunshine Coast) & Hightime. 8pm-ish, $10. Fun times.

See you there!
